We have **6 free transfers** and can own **up to 8 players per country**, so I’m using the free moves to lean into Spain’s defence and keep the elite forwards. That bench is deliberate: France v England is first, so Maignan/Theo/O’Reilly/Gordon/Bellingham/Mbappé/Kane are “early shots”. If any of them score poorly, I can sub in Spain/Argentina players before the final. ## Captaincy **Start captain: Kylian Mbappé.** Captain plan: 1. **Mbappé** for France v England. 2. If Mbappé is poor, switch to **Messi** for Spain v Argentina. 3. If chasing upside, switch to **Lamine Yamal** instead. Kane is a strong captain candidate too — FFScout’s final-round data has Kane, Mbappé and Yamal as the top captain picks — but because Kane and Mbappé play in the same match, I can’t use Kane as a later fallback. I prefer Mbappé first because of the Golden Boot motivation and France’s predicted XI still being built around him. The big gamble is selling Olise. He could easily punish that, but I think **Yamal + Rodri + the Spain defensive stack** is the stronger final-round structure, especially with Spain reaching the final after a fifth/sixth clean-sheet-heavy run and Yamal expected to start.
